Responsibilities
- Transform and translate the Switchcam video experience into mobile and tablet apps that are effortless, fun and beautiful.
- Implement workflows and mockups as provided by our UX designer.
- Take the initiative and intelligently fill the gaps where mockups and flows don't quite get all the way there.
- Analyze metrics and identify patterns to proactively improve your product,
- Work with product management and design to listen to and respond to user feedback, and filter and distill that feedback into meaningful work items.
- Have shitloads of fun.
Requirements
- Experience shipping Objective-C native iOS apps. If we can download it and try it from the App Store, even better.
- Computer Science fundamentals. You should have a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience.
- Be a builder. We want to see your personal side projects, and they should give us a sense for your aptitude and "spider-sense" for products.
- Be able to work quickly and maintain a high standard of quality.
- Be willing and able to disagree. We want the best product, not one person's ideal of the best product. Speak your mind and back it up with code if you need to.
Desired
- Experience in JQuery, Backbone.js
- Android app experience
- Real-world experience with Python and building and maintaining Django web apps

- Implement some seriously cool shit on Switchcam.com using JQuery and Backbone.js.
- Follow workflows and mockups as provided by our UI designer.

Requirements
- Experience building responsive and sexy web apps using javascript platforms such as JQuery, MooTools, Prototype or SproutCore. If it’s live, please send us a link.
- Computer Science fundamentals. You should have a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into designs of elegant, well thought-through user experiences
- Create interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details
- Collaborate with our front end engineers to implement your designs effectively
- Analyze usage patterns to assess the success of your designs
- Suggest and implement improvements to the Switchcam User Experience
- Develop and maintain low fidelity wireframes of UI concepts
- Translate wireframes into high-fidelity mockups of UI concepts
- Craft, maintain and advocate a consistent design aesthetic across Switchcam
- Grow and lead a team of design professionals

Requirements
- Must have an online portfolio of work for consideration: dribble and/or behance a plus
- Solid grasp of core Information Architecture principles
- Experience developing consumer and/or commercial web application interfaces
- Proven track record and a passion for designing compelling, user experiences
- Solid intuition of best practices and tools used in user-centered interaction design
- Strong visual design skills, including an eye for good typography, composition, and use of color
- Fluid ability to design in Photoshop, OmniGraffle, and Illustrator
- Experience in creating various prototype methods and knowledge of best practices
- Ability to prototype your work in HTML/CSS/JS
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and communicate progress and expected milestones

- Work hand in hand with the front end developer to implement sexy new features within the Django stack.
- Assist in improving our video processing queue and video analysis algorithms
- Optimize and refactor queries and code to insure efficiency
- Work with product management and design to listen to and respond to user feedback, and filter and distill that feedback into meaningful work items.
Requirements
- Experience building Django and Python applications in the real world.
- Solid understanding of MySQL queries
- Computer Science fundamentals. You should have a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience.
- Be a builder. We want to see your personal side projects, and they should give us a sense for your aptitude and product "spider-sense".
- Be able to work quickly and maintain a high standard of quality.
